ORLANDO, FLORIDA—November 17, 2005—Orange Lake Resort & Country Club, the world’s largest single-site timeshare resort, announced the appointment of Bob Albertson as Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing. In this role, Albertson will be responsible for all of Orange Lake’s sales and marketing initiatives, reporting directly to Don Harrill, President and CEO.

During a professional career spanning more than four decades, Albertson has held several leadership positions in marketing, sales operations and customer service. Following a 15-year tenure in the land development industry with General Development Corporation and GAC Land Corporation, Albertson joined Fairfield Resorts in 1982 as General Manager of the company’s Sapphire Valley Resort. In 1984, he was promoted to GM of Fairfield Glade and in 1986 assumed the role of Regional VP working from their Little Rock, AK office. Due to the Chapter 11 reorganization of Fairfield, Albertson joined Global Resorts in 1991 to lead that company’s European sales and marketing operations in the United Kingdom, Spain and Tenerife.

Albertson returned to Fairfield in 1995 as Regional Vice President of Sales, and was later appointed to lead the company’s marketing operations in 1998. Albertson is credited with developing and implementing the highly diversified marketing strategy that enabled Fairfield’s rapid growth and expansion to locations in the western United States including Las Vegas, California and Hawaii.

Albertson was also instrumental in the initiation and development of fully integrated alliance relationships with Outrigger Enterprises and Harrah’s Resorts & Casinos. He was appointed Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President, Marketing & Sales at Fairfield upon the company’s acquisition by Cendant Corporation in 2001, and most recently served as Chief Marketing Officer and Executive Vice President, Strategic Development for Cendant Timeshare Resort Group.

“As we focus on completing our $50 million River Island expansion project, adding new products and further developing our North, East and West Villages, the addition of seasoned, talented leaders such as Bob Albertson to our organization will enhance our ability to exceed our goals and continue to provide our current and future owners and guests a phenomenal vacation experience”, said Don Harrill, Orange Lake’s President and CEO.

Orange Lake was founded by Kemmons Wilson, the legendary business entrepreneur who built the successful Holiday Innâ hotel chain and is credited with inventing the modern lodging industry. Begun in 1982 on 372 acres of land, Orange Lake now spans more than 1,250 acres across three distinct villages, with more than 2,000 villas, suites and studios and more than 100,000 owners from all 50 U.S. states and over 120 countries.
